PURPOSE:To surely apply the brake by mounting a mat having an expansion part made of a rubber, etc., and a sliding part made of synthetic resin on its upper face to the floor face below a brake pedal, locating a heel part of the shoe of a driver on the mat, and smoothly sliding and guiding the heel part of the shoe at the time of brake application. CONSTITUTION:A member 4 formed by cylindrically connecting an expansion part 2 made of a rubber, etc., with a sliding part 3 made of synthetic resin is fixed on this half side of an intermediate plate formed by relatively weighty material such as vinyl chloride, etc., and a mat M for brake is thus formed. The mat M for brake is mounted to a floor face 8 below an operating part of a brake pedal 9, and a heel part 7c of the shoe of a driver is located on the upper face of the mat. At the time of brake application, the heel part 7c of the shoe is smoothly moved and guided on the mat M for brake, and a sole part 7a of the shoe is positively engaged with a tread of the brake pedal 9, so that the brake can be surely applied. |
