Block stack retention device

The block stack retention device is used for drying and delivery techniques on polygraphic machines. Its effect relates to book blocks (1) which are reciprocally guided by means of a block conveyor track (6) and book block points (7) to the block stacks (4, 5) which are transported on stacking tracks (2, 3). The book block pusher (14) resting on the book blocks (1) is provided with a stop (16) which reciprocally entrains and feeds the block supports (17, 18) of the device. The block supports (17, 18), which are adjustable relative to the stacked material, hold the stacked material which is to be transported away in a stable position until they are swung back to feed the next book block (1). For adequately strong feeding, the torque of the block stack retention device can be adjusted by means of a brake. <IMAGE>
