<p>A valve for a sterilization container comprises an elastic support element (26) in the form of a pressure capsule which maintains the valve (18) in the open position. The pressure capsule (26) communicates with the interior of a fixture (44) on which the valve cap is sealingly mounted and which has a valve opening (62). The valve opening can be closed by a regulating element (68). Closing is effected, after the sterilization temperature is reached, by a temperature-regulating element (68) with an alloy which melts when the sterilization temperature is reached. In the solid state, the alloy maintains the previously spring-loaded regulating element, in a fixed position and allows it to move on melting. The regulating element can be loaded, when the alloy is solidified, by means of a one-way coupling. The entire valve arrangement can be removed from the container and is arranged preferably in a bowl-shaped cavity (12) in the lid (10) of the container which permits nesting of the containers.</p> |
