PURPOSE:To stabilize the function of a cleaning tank by using chamotte particles consisting of porous sintered bodies which are bound by a glassy flux and are molded to spherical shapes as contact filter media. CONSTITUTION:The contact filter media 1 consist of the many chamotte particles 3 which are bound by the glassy flux 4. Many gaps are formed among the respective chamotte particles 3 to constitute water flow holes 5. The porous structure of the contact filter media 1 are thereby formed. The increased surface area of biofilms, the improved capacity of a sewage treatment and the improved cleaning capacity are thus sealized. |
