PURPOSE: To change the interval between the conductors of a ribbon cable over a wide size range without using a specially outfitted connector by setting a parallel second linear paths at a diagonal angle against a first linear paths, and providing a conductor pitch changing means uniformly changing conductor pitches via trigonometry between both linear paths. CONSTITUTION: A cable 2 is composed of a first linear path area 4 having a first portions 12 of multiple conductors 8 and a cover 10 and a second linear path area 5 having a second portions 14 of the conductors 8. A connection section 44 near a first end section 26 of the second area 5 is formed between the first area 4 and the second area 5, and the conductors 8 of the second area 5 are the same as the conductors 8 of the first area 4. The conductors 8 are continued between the first and second areas 4, 5. The conductor pitches E in the second area 5 are different from the conductor pitches A in the first area 4. The angle F is the same for all conductors 8, and the second portions 14 of the conductors 8 form a second pitch pattern along a second linear paths G. |
