The object of the invention is a heat exchanger, in whose housing 1 exchange pipes 2 have been placed, which are attached in pipe plates 3 and are brought together into sections 4. The sections 4 form a pipe block 5. Each section 4 is connected to an intake collector 7 and an outlet collector 8. The housing 1 has an intake connection 10 and an outlet connection 11, to which a cold zone 12 and a hot zone 13, respectively, are connected. The pipe block 5 is placed in a jacket 14, which is arranged in the housing 1 leaving a free space 15. Between the housing 1 and the jacket 14 there is a partition wall 16 provided which separates the cold zone 12 and the hot zone 13 from each other. The internal surface of the jacket 14 repeats the external surface of the pipe block 5. <IMAGE>
