A self-locking fastener comprises a body (10) and casing (11) around the body (10). Rollers (13, 18) situated in recesses (14, 19) in the body (10) are moved along outwardly inclined slopes (20, 23) opposite when ends (25, 26) of a strap (22) are pulled through gaps (16, 17) between the body (10) and the casing (11) thereby to trap the ends of the strap (22) against the casing (11). Any attempt to pull the ends of the strap out of the gaps in the opposite direction to their insertion is resisted by movement of the rollers (13, 18) along the slopes (20, 23) to reduce the spacing between the rollers (13, 18) and the adjacent casing (11). |
