In the method for simultaneously determining the course (trend) and the absolute position of the characteristic, and for determining the static and the dynamic spring constants (stiffness) as well as the position and shape of the hysteresis surface of a rubber bearing with continuous recording of the load/spring excursion function, the test specimen is guided together with a fall rate of the test plunger in the range from 200 to 800 mm/min.
