PURPOSE:To enable a steering shaft to be tilted before the opening operation of a door by controlling the position in the tilting direction of the steering shaft in receiving the output signal from a buckle switch so that the intention of an operator to get-out can be detected early. CONSTITUTION:In receiving the output signal from a buckle switch 25 which detects the detachment of the seat belt 12 on an operator, a control means controls the position in the tilting direction of a steering shaft 6. Therefore, compared with the conventional method in which the open/close signal of a door 14 has been used by turning the buckle switch 25 OFF when the operator gets off, the intention of the operator to get-out can be detected early, so that the steering shaft 6 can be tilted before the operator opens the door 14. |
