This invention is about a bandsaw machine which has wheels and a blade to perform cutting operations. The machine comprises a base (3), a hinge pin (7) and a cutting head assembly (5). The assembly has a flexible blade (29) around several wheels (21,23) to cut a workpiece (W). The feeding of the blade into the workpiece is controlled so that the blade is fed intermittently into the workpiece. The invention can be applied to not only a horizontal bandsaw but also a vertical bandsaw. |
