<p>The plates are formed as external conical flanges on the exterior of the inner bowl with which they are integral and thus rotate together. The clarified liq. is discharged from the annular space between the bowls via an impact turbine rotor fixed coaxially to the inner bowl. The turbine discharges liq. through tangential ejectors fixed to the outer bowl and forming a reaction turbine, the final speed of liq. from the centrifuge being practically zero. Pref. the reaction turbine ejector jets impinge on fixed blades which direct the liq. to the outlet. Pref. the solid particles are extracted by a conveyor screw. The particles are pushed along the inside of the cylindrical wall of the outer bowl.</p> |
