摘要 |
<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the generation of picture element defects by breakage of thin film transistors and to obtain a non-glittering display having a high contrast ratio by holding a spacing between a pair of substrates only by the sealing part. CONSTITUTION:The sealing material 3 contg. gap control materials 2 is screen- printed on a transparent substrate 1 formed with TFTs 5 in a matrix shape to control the electro-optic effect of a liquid crystal. A counter substrate 7 formed with a common electrode 6 over the entire surface is stuck thereto. Only the sealing part is then pressed by a press-contact member 4 formed to a projecting shape only in the sealing part to adhere the counter substrate 7 and the transparent substrate 1. The inter-substrate spacing is thus held only by the sealing part. The display device is obtd. by sealing the liquid crystal into this spacing.</p> |
