Coating machine (S) consists of a spreading roll (52), a pick-up roll (55) which pick up pigments stocked in the pick-up pan (57), a metering roll (58), a base (53), a first table (54), a second table (56) and a third table (59). The spreading roll (52), the pick-up roll(55) and the metering roll (58) are fixed to the first, second, third table (54,56,59). A workpiece (60) as a sheet, is passed between the rolls (51,52). The rolls (51,52,55,58) is driven by the DC (or AC) motor. The gap of the rolls (51,52) is controlled by the first gap controller (61), the gap of the rolls (52,55) is controlled by the second gap controller (65).
