PURPOSE: To obtain the subject concentration type softening finishing agent having slight thickening with time by making the finishing agent include a quaternary ammonium salt and a polymer containing two components of specific cationic monomers as essential components, as an active ingredients. CONSTITUTION: This concentration type softening finishing agent comprises (A) 7-30 wt.% of a quaternary ammonium salt and (B) 0.2-10 wt.% of a copolymer of two or more components composed of a cationic surfactant monomer comprising a 8-24C straight-chain or branched-chain alkyl or alkenyl group- containing long-chain alkyl or alkenyl cationic monomer and/or a substituent group-containing 8-24C straight-chain or branched-chain alkyl or alkenyl group- containing long-chain alkyl or alkenyl cationic monomer as an essential component and a vinyl monomer. The finishing agent provides a fiber with excellent softness and antistatic properties.
