PURPOSE:To obtain an electrode head with stable performance which does not scratch the metal membrane layer of discharge recording paper by specifying the Shore hardness of a support member containing hexagonal boron nitride which supports an electrode needle. CONSTITUTION:When the Shore hardness of support members 12a, 12b which contain hexagonal boron nitride like discharge recording paper, is more than 40, the metal membrane layer of a thermal transfer discharge recording paper is damaged. When the Shore hardness of the support members 12a, 12b containing hexagonal boron nitride is below 3, the metal membrane layer of the thermal transfer discharge recording paper is damaged by a protruding electrode needle 11 whose friction rate differs significantly from that of the electrode needle 11. Consequently, an electrode head with stable performance which does not scratch recording paper is obtained by limiting the Shore hardness of the support members 12a, 12b containing hexagonal boron nitride to within a range of 5-35. |
