PURPOSE:To provide an oxide type superconductive wire with high density and great critical current density Jc by using a mixed powder in which part of CuO powder as a component of powder material is substituted with Cu powder. CONSTITUTION:To mixed powder 1 of oxide powder and Cu powder Y2O3, BaCO3, and CuO powders are used in the case of material powder for ex. of Y-Ba-Cu-O type. They are mixed so as to provide a certain desired composition. This mixed powder 1 is put in a contained 2 and heated by a heater 3. When a specified temp. is attained, a ram 4 is pressurized from above, and the softened or molten material is extruded out of a die as it is. Otherwise, it is extruded to outside a core 7 through a nipple 9, and thus a wire 6 or a composite wire 8 is manufactured. This is sintered in the air and heat treated in the oxygen atmosphere. This is covered with metal such as Cu, Cu alloy, Al, Al alloy, etc., by means of evaporation, hot dip, etc., to accomplish a superconductive wire of oxide type. |
