PURPOSE:To obtain a deodorizing polymer composition keeping the deodorizing effect even at a high molding temperature and providing a molded article free from browning discoloration of the deodorizing component, by compounding a thermoplastic polymer with a deodorizing component consisting of a calcium compound and aluminum sulfate salt. CONSTITUTION:The objective deodorizing polymer composition is produced by compounding (A) a thermoplastic polymer (e.g. polyolefin or polyvinyl chloride) with (B) a deodorizing component consisting of (B1) 10-90pts.wt. of a calcium compound (preferably calcium oxide, calcium peroxide or calcium hydroxide) and (B2) 90-10pts.wt. of a sulfuric acid salt of aluminum (aluminum sulfate or aluminum potassium sulfate, preferably the latter) and, as necessary, (C) a colorant, a filler, a plasticizer, etc. The amounts of the components A and B are 99.9-50pts.wt. and 0.1-50pts.wt., respectively. A deodorizing formed article (e.g. film, sheet or container) can be produced from the composition. |
