PURPOSE:To obtain a miticide exhibiting stable effect against both acarids and Dermatophagoides over a long period, by using isobornyl thiocyanoacetate and octachlorodipropyl ether as synergists and adding the compounds to a liquid pyrethroidal insecticide. CONSTITUTION:The objective miticide is prepared by adding the compound of formula I and the compound of formula II as synergists to a liquid pyrethroidal insecticide [e.g. 3-phenoxybenzyl dl-cis/trans-3-(2,2-dichlorovinyl)-2,2- dimethylcyclopropane-1-carboxylate]. The miticide exhibits strong miticidal action against both Dermatophagoides and acarids by contacting a small amount of the agent to the mites. Since the agent is effective at a low dose, the problems of exudation of agent, etc., can be avoided in the case of impregnating the agent in a sheet such as paper. |
