PURPOSE:To dispense with an oxidative heat treatment process, the control of which is difficult, to be conducted after an HIP treatment as well as to improve the productivity of a ceramic wire material by a method wherein a superconducting ceramic Ag wire material, formed by filling the superconducting ceramic powder containing oxidized silver into a core part, is used. CONSTITUTION:The superconducting ceramic Ag wire material, formed by filling the compound powder having the perovskite consisting of oxidized silver of 1-5wt.% and Y-containing rare earth element-alkaline earth element-Cu- oxygen into the core part of the Ag wire, is processed into a coil, and a hot hydrostatic compression treatment is conducted on the processed superconducting ceramic wire material. As a result, the oxidized silver in the quantity corresponding to the quantity of oxygen diffused and discharged to the outside of the superconducting ceramic on the core part through an Ag-coated layer, is added to the superconducting ceramic, and the insufficient quantity of oxygen can be replenished with the decomposed oxygen of the oxidized silver. |
