An estrogen sulfotransferase inhibitor composition comprises a compound of the formula wherein R1 is F, Br, NO2, or H; R2 is F, Br, NO2, NH2, or H; R is H or alkyl of 1-4 carbon atoms; R3 is O or H2; and R4 is H2, O, or alpha -H, beta -OH; R5 is H2, alpha -H and beta -OH or B-H and alpha -OH in admixture with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier with the proviso that R1, R2 and R3 cannot all be hydrogen and one of R1 and R2 is F.
