PURPOSE:To keep an ultrasonic motor stable and of high torque, by arranging rotors between two stators and by cramping the two friction surfaces through a pressing means such as springs, etc. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic motor divides rotors arranged between two stators each into two. Each bisected rotor is then fixed to a rotating shaft with flat springs. A motor cylinder 37 and a side plate 24 constituting a motor housing 23 are engaged with each outer ring of ball bearings 25 and 26, whose inner rings are engaged with a rotating shaft 8. A vibrating body l to be a stator is supported and fixed to a motor housing 22 in the position corresponding to the node of the vibration. A lining material 10 of a rotor 9 is pressed to a driving friction surface 3 of the stator with a flat spring 29, which fixes a rotor 9 to a rotating shaft 8 with a mounting bush 30. Thus, the reaction force of the forced pressure of the driving friction surface 3 is taken charge by the motor housing 22 and no reaction force as such would be applied to the bearing section of the rotating shaft 8. |
