PURPOSE:To measure the actual computer processor use rate of a virtual computer processor by measuring and reporting the time, when the virtual processor is not assigned to the actual computer processor, at the time of execution of an idle timer read instruction. CONSTITUTION:A request receiving means 3 receives the idle timer read request for measurement of the idle timer value indicating the time when the actual computer processor is not used by an operating system operated on a virtual computer 1. When the request receiving means 3 receives the idle timer read request, an idle timer calculating means 4 uses a virtual computer table 7 managed by the virtual computer 1 and a virtual computer monitor table 9 managed by a virtual computer monitor 2 to calculate the idle timer value. A reporting means 6 reports the idle timer value calculated by the idle timer calculating means 4 to the operating system operated on the virtual computer 1. Thus, the actual computer processor use time is measured. |
