PURPOSE:To enlarge the allowable region in a fogging exposure, and to reduce the optical density of an obtd. image to the min. value by forming a direct positive image by exposing wholly the titled material so as to be <=20 ratio of magnitudes in the photographic effect of a whole exposure, and incorporating a nitrogen contg. heterocyclic compd. which does not contain a mercapto group in the titled material. CONSTITUTION:Two or more layers of silver halide emulsion layers have different photosensitive wavelength regions respectively, and contain a silver halide particle having an inner latent image type which is not previously coupled on the surface of the particle. Said silver halide emulsion layers are formed on a supporting body. And, the titled material is exposed wholly after exposing the image and before developing it, or during developing and processing steps. The direct positive image is formed by exposing wholly the titled material so as to be <=20 the ratio of magnitudes of the photographic effect in the whole exposure for each silver halide emulsion layers. And, in this case, the nitrogen contg. heterocyclic compd. which does not contain the mercapto group is incorporated in the titled material. Thus, the allowable region in the fogging exposure is enlarged, and the min. optical density of the obtd. image is reduced. |
