PURPOSE:To reduce the generation of noise, by driving a stepping motor while changing the number of phase of excitation in time. CONSTITUTION:The conduction of driving coils 1-4 for a stepping motor is controlled by controlling driving transistors 5-8. Pulses are inputted into the input terminals (in1)-(in4) of respective transistors 5-8 to conduct or cut the current of the driving coils 1-4 by putting respective transistors 5-8 ON/OFF thereby rotating the motor. Noise may be reduced by a method wherein the excitation of the driving coils 1-4 is changed into 1-2 phase excitation, for example, to make the vibration of the motor irregular. |
