PURPOSE:To provide an azeotropic solvent compsn. which does not contain any ingredient causative of ozonosphere destruction, is non-combustible, exhibits well-balanced dissolving power, and ensures easy recovery and reuse, and which comprises a particular chlorofluoroethane solvent and an inert liq. with a low surface tension. CONSTITUTION:An azeotropic solvent compsn. comprises 46.8wt.% 1,2- dichloro-1,1-difluoroethane (hereinafter CFC-132b) and 53.2wt.% perfluoro-n- hexane. In this azeotropic solvent compsn., use is made of CFC-132b having two H's in adds. to Cl and F, in place of CFC-113 obtd. by substituting all of the H's of an ethane compd. with Cl and F, which is believed to be causative of ozonosphere destruction. Perfluoro-n-hexane is used in combination with CFC-132b so as to limit the dissolving power of CFC-132b to a polymer material. By the use of the azeotropic solvent compsn., it is possible to accomplish flux removal which has been impossible, due to the dissolving power of CFC-132b. Moreover, because of the azeotropic condition, liq. control, recovery and reuse are facilitated, and also the compsn. is applicable to steam cleaning as well. |
