<p>Catalyst components for the polymn. ofα-olefins were prepd. by reaction of polymeric transition metal alkoxides with reducing metals of a higher oxidn. potential than the transition metal in the presence of dicarbonyl compds.. Thus, Ti(OBu)4 42, Mg 2.22, 2.4- pentadione 4.85 and octane 42.75g gave a purple-black soln. with gas evolution. The above reaction products were activated with halides to give olefin polymn. catalysts.</p> |
