PURPOSE:To decrease the circuit scale by using an interface circuit connected to various external devices to all devices in common so as to eliminate the need of lots of communication cables and circuits for each kind. CONSTITUTION:An interface circuit 15 to be connected to external plural peripheral equipments unifies in common and the interface circuit 15 for the reader side is used as one circuit to allow plural peripheral equipments to be in contact with 131 sets of common interface connectors at the reader side. Then a discrimination means of the peripheral equipment to be connected is provided to the reader side and the type of slave devices can be discriminated by the combination of two bits of the signals 27, 28. Thus, serial communication in response to each prescribed peripheral equipment is attained by a minimum quantity of communication cable and communication circuits and the general-purpose application of the interface circuit is enhanced. |
