PURPOSE:To prevent breakage caused by the jamming of left document by making it impossible to execute copying even in an ADF mode if the document is not surely removed after completing copying in a pressure plate mode. CONSTITUTION:An automatic document feeder (ADF) 9 is installed, which equips with an ADF control part 9A as the center of control, a document set sensor 9B consisting of an optical switch, etc., for detecting whether or not the document is set on a document placing table 11, an ADF opening and closing detection sensor 9C consisting of a limit switch, etc., for detecting the opening and closing of the pressure plate 12 which is fitted on a copying machine main body to freely open and close and an ADF load 9D consisting of a motor, etc., for conveying the document set on the document placing table 11. And copying operation is made impossible when the document is set on the document placing table 11 in the closing state of the pressure plate 12 after copying in the pressure plate mode. Thus, the jamming of the left document after completing copying in the pressure plate mode can be prevented. |
