PURPOSE:To allow no printing of, e.g. the lost part of an enlarged characters but only the remaining part as it is when printing shift occurs by setting the number of image dots of an image buffer slightly more than the maximum number of dots which can be printed in a printing part. CONSTITUTION:The number of image dots of an image buffer is set slightly more than the maximum number of dots which can be printed in a printing part. n pieces of printing dot are provided in the printing part. n+m pieces of image dot are provided in an image buffer. In this case, an area which can not be printed 6 is formed in respect to printing areas. When image dots are used in a cyclic manner, by setting the above mentioned non-printing area 6, characters which are actually printed on paper to be printed are printed within a full-line range. An enlarged character in the first line when landscaping is performed is depicted even in a broken line area. Thus, the part where a positional shift occurs is completely deleted. |
