PURPOSE:To easily change winding from one side reel for coiling to the other side reel for coiling by fitting one pair of the reels for coiling making built-in of magnet to a rotating disk at the time of blowing molten metal to a rotated cooling drum and rapidly cooling and solidifying to produce strip and winding to the reel for coiling. CONSTITUTION:The molten metal from a tundish 2 is blown on the surface of the rotated cooling drum 10 and rapidly cooled to produce the metal strip 11. The metal strip 11 is apart from the cooling drum 10 and carried to the coiling device 13 and wound to the autorotating magnet built-in type reel 15a for coiling fitted to the rotating disk 14 is wound. At the time of winding the prescribed quantity of the metal strip to the reel 15a for coiling, shot 17 of the steel ball, etc., is blasted against the metal strip 11 having tension from a shot blasting device 16 and the metal strip 11 is cut at blasting position by the tension.
