PARALLEL ELECTRODE SEPARATOR OF STEPPED TYPE

PURPOSE: To increase the quantity of the purified gas per unit area of a separating machine by lining up >=2 electrode systems so as to have a play together with an intermediate chamber assuring only the free motion of these electrode systems and providing the respectively electrode systems with an intrinsic purifying device and high-voltage power feeding section. CONSTITUTION: A vessel 1 is internally provided with an adhering system 2.1, a spraying system 2.2 and the purifying device 2.3 for the spraying electrode and the adhering electrode. The electrode systems 2.1, 2.2 are lined up to have the play together with the intermediate chamber 9 assuring only the free motion of these electrode systems. Part of the electrode systems 2.1, 2.2 existing in the space 7 where there is no flow between the machines 8 supporting the electrode systems 2.1, 2.2 of the lower stage are utilized for separating the dust soaring up from the upper stage and for separating the dust from the stagnating flow. Consequently, the quantity of the purified gas per unit area of the separating machine is increased and the sepn. efficiency in the amt. larger than that at the time of the same quantity of the impurity gas and the reliability are attained.
