Composition based on the extraction products of quarries and lime

Composition for roadmaking use comprising between 80 and 99 % by weight of a product extracted from mines or quarries, consisting of prescreening calcarious materials commonly known as scalping products and exhibiting a defined particle size range, this product comprising at least 15 to 25 % of clayey fines and having a moisture content of between 1 and 10 % and between 1 and 3 % of powdered quicklime. This composition is particularly advantageous for producing improved roadway subgrades and makes it possible to obtain a compactness of sufficient carrying power to support running trucks without damage.
