PURPOSE:To produce a dense AlN sintered body having superior heat conductivity, superior insulating property and a high dielectric constant by mixing alumina powder with specified carbon (compd.), molding the mixture and heating the resulting ceramic molded body in an atmosphere contg. nitrogen. CONSTITUTION:Alumina powder having >=99.0% purity and <=2mu average particle size is mixed with carbon or a carbon compd. which generates free carbon on being heated, e.g., phenol resin in 1:0.2-1:1 weight ratio. The mixture is molded and the resulting ceramic molded body is heated to 1,600-2,200 deg.C in an atmosphere contg. nitrogen. |
