PURPOSE:To visually reduce the staircase ruggedness of a generated segment by changing the color tone of dots plotted from a previously set tone table on the basis of an error value between the generated digital segment and a true value. CONSTITUTION:An error value between the true value of a vector and a digital value found out by Bresenham system is calculated by an error value calculating part 7. A mixed color close to the color of a segment outputted in accordance with the decrement of the error value is outputted by a hue determining part 8 based on the calculated error value. On the other hand, a mixed color close to a background color is outputted in accordance with the increment of the error value. Thus, the color of a dot to be plotted is determined by the previously set tone table on the basis of the error value. The dot whose color is determined is plotted by a plot part 9. Said operation is repeated from the start point of the vector to its end point. |
