The invention applies to all networks carrying "goods" traffic in parallel by railway track and by road. The device consists in creating a third network, but with an electrified railway structure comprising a stock of wide-gauge wagons allowing easy loading and unloading of heavy goods vehicles, according to their required routing, as a function of their destinations, and regulated by dispatchers managing the wide-gauge tracks. The application of this device will free the motorways of traffic jams, which the predicted doubling will only increase, whilst the drivers will be able to carry out their work and benefit both from high speeds and rest, all with reduced fuel consumption and use of so-called "excess" kilowatts, as well as benefiting from the reduced risk of fatal accidents (e.g. third quarter 1987).
