摘要 PURPOSE:To aim at enlarging an engine compartment, in a suspension device having upper and lower arms, by disposing a coupling link between an upper arm support part and the lower arm so that the movement of the upper part of a wheel inward of the vehicle body is regulated in a full bump condition. CONSTITUTION:When a wheel 2 falls into a full bump condition during running on a concave and convex road surface, a coupling link 22 is displaced largely upward of a vehicle body as shown by the tow-dot-chain line. Accordingly, an upper arm support member 16 journalled to the upper part of a support section 11 extending from a vehicle body frame 10 is displaced largely upward. Accordingly, a shaft 20 is displaced upward form a position indicated by the one-dot-chain line and toward the wheel 2 in the vehicle widthwise direction. The movement of the upper part of the wheel 2 inward of the vehicle body is regulated due to the displacement of the swinging center (shaft 20) of an upper arm 12. With this arrangement, it is possible to aim at enlarging the engine compartment.
