PURPOSE: To obtain paper that is light in standard weight and suitable in thickness and strength as well by producing in two independent wire regions and by transferring web to lower wire at a suitable position and set it up to the demanded web structure. CONSTITUTION: This paper-making machine consists of lower wire region 1 and upper wire region 2. Supplied to the lower and upper wires are paper material from head boxes 9 and 10, respectively. Web formed in the upper wire regions is separated from the upper sire. Surface at the wire side of this web and upper surface of the web formed in the lower wire region are couched together on the lower wire with roll 13 that has been disposed outside of the wire loops. Dual layer web is transferred to pickup felt 16 through pickup roll 15, and applied to smooth surface of counter roll 20. Product with this procedure has little curl, even if it happens, and good looking and scarce chance of breakage as well. |
