摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To improve the self-discharge characteristic by arranging a negative electrode with the CaCu5 type crystal structure and made of hydrogen absorbing alloy powder containing Mn and a nickel positive electrode face to face across a separator made of sulfonated polyolefin resin with the specific monomer number of polyolefin resin and one sulfone group or its alkali salt group. CONSTITUTION:A negative electrode with the CaCu5 type crystal structure and made of hydrogen absorbing alloy containing at least Mn and a nickel positive electrode are arranged face to face across a separator made of sulfonated polyolefin resin with the monomer number of 25-250 of polyolefin resin and one sulfone group or its alkali salt group. If a separator with the monomer number 25 of polypropylene and one sulfone group is used, the short circuit phenomenon does not occur. If a separator with the monomer number 250 or more and one sulfone group is used, its hydrophilic property is inferior, and the liquid injection speed at the time of construction is reduced. The self- discharge characteristic is thereby excellent, and no problem occurs for the short circuit phenomenon and liquid injection speed at the time of construction.</p>
