The subject of the invention relates to an analog manipulator of parameters of sound and variation in light intensity or other encoded information. It consists of an endless band 3 which comprises over its entire length, and over part of its surface, an encoding track 2 consisting of a succession of alternate active zones and passive zones (for example: opaque zones, transparent zones in the case of optical detection by transmission; absorbent zones, reflecting zones in the case of optical detection by reflection).
