AROMATIC POLYAMIC ACID COATING SOLUTION COMPOSITION AND PRODUCTION OF MULTI-LAYERED AROMATIC POLYIMIDE FILM

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition applicable to a self-supporting aromatic polyamic acid film without causing solvent crazing, by dissolving an aromatic polyamic acid in a mixture of a poor solvent and a good solvent of the aromatic polyamic acid. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition is produced by dissolving (A) an aromatic polyamic acid in a mixed solvent consisting of (B) 10-60wt.% of a poor solvent which cannot dissolve >=2wt.% of the aromatic polyamic acid at 25 deg.C (e.g. quinoline or isoquinoline) and (C) 40-90wt.% of a good solvent which can dissolve >=20wt.% of the aromatic polyamic acid at 25 deg.C. A multi- layered aromatic polyimide film can be stably produced on an industrial scale by the use of the present composition.
