The invention relates to a method and a device for substituting an empty mould for a first mould full of filling material, such as concrete. According to the invention, provision is first made, after having carried the empty mould 3 towards the mould filling location 20, for superposing this empty mould 3 and the first full mould 2, substantially in the vertical of the said filling location, for freeing the empty mould from its carrying means 6, which is attached to the full mould, for driving the said full mould 2 in reverse away from the said filling location, on which the empty mould 3 is placed, and then for freeing the full mould from its carrying means 6, and removing it to another location of the machine. The invention applies in particular to machines intended for manufacturing moulded products from concrete. <IMAGE>
