It comprises in combination: a tray 1 provided with means allowing it to receive and hold two vertical uprights 2: two vertical uprights 2 each formed of at least two longitudinal units 3 the length of which matches the height of the uprights and which are thin in relation to their width, the lower ends of the longitudinal units 3 being used to fix them to the tray 1, the said longitudinal units 3 being connected together to form the uprights 2 using cross pieces 4 intended to support the shelves 5 which are fixed laterally and to the inside edge of the uprights: shelves 5 formed by two lateral cross pieces the ends of which bear on the cross pieces 4 of the uprights 2 and are connected together by horizontal connecting units which support a tray made of a material such as wood, plywood, cardboard or pressed fibres of any type: and at least one stiffening unit 10 fixed diagonally in a plane perpendicular to the plane of the uprights 2 on at least one of the sides of the display unit. <IMAGE>
