<p>Racquet has stringing secured to a moulded plastics frame by loops moulded into the frame. The loops are pref. of metal wire and a number of loops may be formed integrally by bending a single wire length. The frame is pref. of nylon with carbon or glass fibre reinforcement. A separate throat member for a racquet may be similarly made. Each loop is pref. U-shaped with the upper ends of the limbs bent over, and are supported in a frame mould with the upper ends inside the cavity while the closed ends project out of the cavity, plastics then being injected into the mould so that the loops project radially inwardly of the frame.</p> |
