Drainage channel for roadways, pedestrian and parking areas which are covered by intake screens. To support the screens, there are provided two-armed bars which are mounted in the screen by means of screws and engage below stop faces in the channel walls. The stop faces are provided at the underside of strips which run through over the entire length of the channel and are integral with the channel wall.
