PURPOSE:To uniform temperature distribution inside a battery by lessening the calorific value of exoergic agent at both ends of a battery laminate than that of other exoergic agent inside the battery laminate. CONSTITUTION:A thermal battery, in which the calorific value of exoergic agent at both ends of a battery laminate is 75% of the calorific value of other exoergic agent inside the laminate, is made, in case of a thermal battery which is made in such a way that 20 unit battery generating elements and 21 exoergic agents are alternately laminated into a battery laminate, and a current collector whose heat capacity is 50% of the unit battery generating element, a heat insulating material and an exoergic agent for end exclusive use are arranged in order at its both ends and stored in a can after being wrapped in an insulating material. Hereupon, the reason why the calorific value of exoergic agent at both ends of the laminate was determined at 75% of others is that the exoergic agent contacts, only on one side, with the unit battery generating element at both ends of the laminate, and the other faces contacts with the current collector whose heat capacity is about 50% of the unit battery generating element. Hereby, calorific values inside the laminate can be uniformed relatively. |
