PURPOSE:To constantly obtain a correct, highly accurate, and stable recording density, by providing a sensor detecting an actual recording density and a control means which controls a density varying function part acting on a recording element so as to make the actual density value coincide with a set density value. CONSTITUTION:A recording density correcting device 1 is provided with a sensor 4 utilizing, for example, an optical sensor which is disposed on a recording head 2 with a predetermined interval S reversely to a recording direction to detect an actual recording density. A control means 6 controls a density varying function part 5 acting on a recording element 3 based on an actual density value Pa on recording paper measured by the sensor 4, compares a set density value Ps corresponding to the density value Pa at the same timing, and conducts a feedback control so as to make this deviation zero. In this manner, the actual density value Pa is constantly corrected so as to coincide with the set density value Ps. |
