The cover plate (5) and/or foot piece (10) are connected to the blade (1) to form a turbine blade by a brazing or jointing process in that, in order to produce jointing surfaces, the components to be connected are bevelled at an angle ( alpha ; ss) of 15@ to 75@ to the longitudinal axis of the blade according to a ruled surface in order to form tapering neck (8), openings (6) and depressions (11). The parts having wing-shaped cross-sections and each accurately fitting on one another are fitted together, subjected to a compressive force acting in the longitudinal direction of the blade, brought to brazing or jointing temperature and the entire assembly cooled again. Due to the compressive force, local deformations and relative movements are produced on the jointing surfaces of the components (1, 5, 10), which lead to an intimate metallurgical bonding. Preferred: brazing processes incorporating a layer of filler metal (13) between the ruled surfaces of the parts to be connected. Improvement and speeding up of the connecting process by vibration of the components transversely to the direction of the compressive force.
