PURPOSE:To obtain the titled device suitable for nutritious culture of root vegetables, by providing planting holes at the bottom plate of a root body containing tank, placing an air introduction pipe in a nutritious solution tank under the bottom plate and further a water absorbing material for connecting the nutritious solution tank to the root body containing tank. CONSTITUTION:A root body containing tank 5 is constituted of side plates and bottom plate provided with planting holes at a suitable interval. Only rootlets in the lower part of the root body are hung under the bottom plate. A water absorbing material 18 is inserted through slits 7 on both sides of the planting holes to connect a nutritious solution tank 9 to the root body containing tank. An air introduction pipe 10 is provided at a position under the planting holes of the nutritious solution tank to jet air into the nutritious solution tank. The tips of sliding plates 11 are provided with plural leaf carrier rods 12 and leaf carrier plates 12' intersecting the rods at right angles. A heat insulating filler 20 is placed in the root body containing tank so that the root body may be covered. |
