PURPOSE:To print and output a limited express ticket with a seat reservation designated by a customer, by connecting an automatic ticket issuing machine and an on-line computer through a communication line, and executing directly a reservation processing of the seat. CONSTITUTION:When a customer throws in money to an automatic ticket issuing machine 10 and designates a desired destination, an arithmetic processing part 12 retrieves a limited express train from schedule information, and displays it in order of an early departure time on a display part. When the customer designates the limited express train of a desired departure time and the number of persons for issuing a ticket, the ticket issuing machine 10 transmits these information to an on-line computer 30 through a communication line 20. When the seat designated by the customer is vacant, the computer 30 reserves the person number portion and updates a seat information file, thereafter, transmits KANJI (Chinese character) code of a getting-on station and a getting-off station together with a seat number. The processing part 12 edits and outputs these information and a derived fare to a printing part 11, and the printing part 12 prints these information onto the ticket surface of a limited express ticket with a seat reservation and outputs it. |
