A method for manufacturing a multilayer sliding element, consisting of a support body, a lining (sliding layer) and optionally further layers situated between the support body and the lining, by applying a layer of an aluminium alloy as the lining is characterised in that there is deposited as the lining, from an aprotic solution by electroplating, with a layer thickness of from 5 to 50 mu m, an aluminium alloy containing from 1 to 50% by weight of Sn and/or from 1 to 25% by weight of Pb, Sb and/or In and/or from 0.1 to 5% by weight of Bi, Ag, Ni, Zn and/or Cu and optionally conventional impurities, the total amount of these alloy elements being from 1 to 55% by weight of the aluminium alloy. |
